- Wix’s tool is free, but you sign in to a Wix account to download or email the stub.
- It adds up net pay from additions and deductions you type. It does not calculate federal or state tax.
- Use it if you know the tax amounts. Use a calculating generator if you need them worked out.
What Wix’s free tool does
- Business details with an optional logo (JPG or PNG under 2 MB), then employee details.
- Hourly or salary, employee or contractor, pay frequency, hours and a hire date.
- Additions and deductions are lines you type; the tool recalculates net pay from them.
- A live preview with year-to-date gross, deductions and net pay.
- Email the stub to the employee or download a PDF — after signing in to Wix.
- The preview carries the line “Pay Stub was generated by the Wix Pay Stub Generator.”

When Wix is all you need
If you run payroll elsewhere and only need to lay the figures out neatly — and you have or do not mind a Wix account — Wix’s tool is a good free choice.
When ValidPaystubs is worth it

What neither tool does
A pay stub from Wix or from us is a formatting and recordkeeping document, not a verified employment record. Landlords and lenders who verify income contact the employer, or ask for an IRS transcript, which you can get free from IRS Get Transcript. Any service promising “verifiable” third-party proof of income is one to avoid.
