- Deductions are free-form lines — a name and an amount for each — so taxes are whatever you type.
- The pay stub is sent to you as a PDF attached to an email. Shopify’s form says that entering your email means agreeing to receive its marketing emails.

When Shopify is all you need
If your payroll provider or accountant already gave you the exact tax amounts — or you are outside the US — Shopify’s tool does the job for free. Copy the numbers in and you are done.

What neither tool does
A pay stub from Shopify or from us is a formatting and recordkeeping document, not a verified employment record. Landlords and lenders who verify income contact the employer, or ask for an IRS transcript, which you can get free from IRS Get Transcript. Any service promising “verifiable” third-party proof of income is one to avoid.
